We are very excited to announce that the TTU STC Student Chapter has won the Platinum Community Achievement and Pacesetter Awards for 2019!
For the second consecutive year, the Society for Technical Communication (STC) has awarded the Texas Tech University Student Chapter both the Platinum Community Award (highest level) and the Pacesetter Award. Our Chapter will be recognized officially at the STC Summit in May. Michael McCarthy was the president during this time

Platinum Award Citation:
For strong membership growth and recognition; savvy social media strategy including YouTube; active leadership; and involvement in the local business, charitable, and STC communities.

PaceSetter Award Citation:
For your engaging STC Spring Showcase initiative; and for uniting and supporting the profession, the Society, the chapter, and the students. Imaginative and well organized, the program adds audience participation to encourage engagement and generate excitement.
Our chapter has continually earned community achievement awards because we all work towards it, members and officers. Our work earned us community points which in turn earned us the awards. To keep us moving, check out our page on how to earn more community points!
Thank you to everyone who has put forth the effort to keep our community strong and thriving and let us continue to keep improving!
